beyond the timeline

Res (resolution)

360p          could be for youtube (360) lines
480p          laptops and monitors
720p(hd).
1080p(hd) the resolution of the image

î the are the height for the image

video and audio

on the timeline you have video and audio these are separate on dvd which play both audio and the visuals are synced

from dvd you need 2 files

video M2V
audio .AC3 ( dolby 2.0)

what you crate from time line

timeline compression them together

Video and audio

audio separately will be an MP3 but if you put together you have muxed genuinely used as an MP4

you can create an audio only and a video only file in the timeline

codec = means code decode

a code is a H.267 to create and MPEG 4
but we use H.264 at the college

the timeline is gathering all the sectors form your drive which is what an adobe project which is just reading audio whilst taking it from one placebo another by working around the drive with the save work on

on the timeline to organise this renders it to make it organised
some that it puts it all in one place so then you can code decode.

Lossy
lossy is when you have something and no matter what you do it will never be the same again and you can not go back to where you where

once your there you have effected the data after the file is compressed

exampels
MP3
MP4
acronym is mp3/4 (moving picture experts group)
wav (wave from)
these are compressed files

the other type of file os lossless which Is the state of it on the time line the difference is lossy os a small file and lossless is a large file
small mb - (mega bite)
large gb - (giga bite)

if there is more movement in the file the file the will be a bigger file if there would be than a smaller file

.avi / wav / mov is lossless compressed
mp3/4 is lossy these are video files uncompressed
and there are many more but these are the useful ones
we learnt how to apply that to premier pro
